The Center provided young metahumans with a place to control and understand their powers. The government had a keen interest in what went on at the center—being one of the biggest donors—and drafted Claire Selton, a young pyrokinetic, into Project Firestorm. The center was placed under close watch from the agents behind Firestorm, and the Director had to be careful not to give too much information to outsiders.
