From unknown circumstances, Donnie was sent to Dr. Wheeler's ranch for rebellious clinic by his parents and didn't like it here.
When his parents came to visit, he tried to make a run for it, but Vincent stopped him. The distraction gave Terry McGinnis the opportunity to sneak past the guards.
