Warren was very hard on his employee, Drew, coercing him to do overtime. This made Drew so mad he talked about it in Dr. Stanton's therapy sessions; this in turn made Warren a victim of Payback, who attacked Warren in his store shortly before closing time. He slashed up mannequins and piles of clothes, but left Drew untouched. When Payback was about to kill Warren, Batman arrived. Payback escaped after a fight, but Warren could only think of his destroyed store.
