History
McWhirter was supposed to deliver a donation to the International Relief Consortium, but he never made it. Josiah Wormwood was after the $75,000 in bearer bonds, and tricked McWhirter into coming to an abandoned miniature gold course. Wormwood led him straight into a quicksand trap, and offered only to help him if he gave up the location of the bearer bonds. Sinking ever lower in the quicksand, McWhirter gave in. Wormwood stole the money while McWhirter ended up in the hospital.
