| Hey, aren't you that plant lady, Poison Oaky?|
|AKA:||the Sky King|
Nyame, the Sky King, was the god of the Ashanti.
When Kwaku Anansi wished to have the power of storytelling, he turned to the Sky King, who owned all things. Nyame made a deal with the spider: he would receive the power in return for three evildoers. Kwaku tricked Mmoboro, Onini and Osebo and turned them over to Nyame. As promised, the god granted him the power of storytelling and imagination. Kwaku stored the powers into a gold spider, which was passed down through many generations of heroes, including Anansi.
The depicted subject bears the likeness of Nyame from African folklore: however, the DCAU character was never named on-screen, or otherwise. The title of this article is conjecture based on the character's likeness. Nyame is the Ashanti word for "God" (also used for the Abrahamic God), as well as Nyame the Sky King being the highest deity of Ashanti culture. Unlike his DCAU appearance in which he is a heavenly apparition, Nyame is usually depicted as a large, seated man who is lavishly dressed.
