Professor Peterson was a geologist connected to the Lex Luthor Museum of Natural History.
History[]
Peterson was tasked with researching a radioactive alien rock for Lex Luthor. He wanted research it further to see if it could be used by all of mankind. Luthor did not take kindly to that. In discontent, Peterson eventually leaked information about the rock's properties to Lois Lane. After Luthor found out, he had Peterson send Lois back to the museum to set a trap for Superman. Having played his part, Luthor had Mercy Graves escort an unwilling Peterson home. Peterson heavily implied to be is killed by Mercy.

The DCAU Professor Peterson is likely named for Professor John Peterson in the live-action Superboy TV series. In that series, Professor Peterson is a geologist who discovers Kryptonite.
