Robert Englund (born June 6, 1947 in Glendale, California) is an American actor, singer, and director.

Background information
Englund is best known for playing supernatural killer Freddy Krueger in the original A Nightmare on Elm Street and its many sequels, including a spinoff television series. Englund has also capitalized on his recognizability by playing supporting roles in a number of other thriller and horror films, including Urban Legend and Wishmaster.
Other comic book roles include The Riddler on the non-DCAU series The Batman, Adrian Toomes (a.k.a. Vulture) on The Spectacular Spider-Man and (most recently) Scarecrow in the video game Injustice 2.
