Superman/Batman: Apocalypse is the ninth direct-to-video animated film of the DC Universe Animated Original Movies line released by Warner Premiere and Warner Bros. Animation. It also the sequel to Superman/Batman: Public Enemies.

As with Superman/Batman: Public Enemies, Kevin Conroy (Batman) and Tim Daly (Superman) reprise their respective DCAU roles once again. Joining them this time around is Susan Eisenberg as Wonder Woman and Ed Asner as Granny Goodness.

As does the story it is based on, this movie bears many similarities to the Superman: The Animated Series episode "Little Girl Lost". Also present in the movie, are several similarities in the Darkseid fights with those of the DCAU. Most notably are Darkseid covering Superman's face with his hand as his heat vision goes off, as Superman did to Darkseid on the Superman: The Animated Series finale "Legacy", and Supergirl using her heat vision on Darkseid's foot when it was on her face, as Superman did on the Justice League episode "Twilight".
