Background information[]

Curry is an English actor best known for starring in The Rocky Horror Picture Show and other films including The Three Musketeers, Congo, Charlie's Angels and Legend. His other animated credits include Nigel Thornberry in the Nickelodeon sitcom The Wild Thornberrys.

Among his DCAU roles, Curry voiced Mutro Botha in the Batman Beyond episode, "Final Cut". He was originally cast as the Joker on Batman: The Animated Series but was replaced by Mark Hamill as the crew "decided to go in a different direction on the Joker's voice." According to Alan Burnett, "It was a hard decision to make, because we really like Tim Curry as an actor."[1] Paul Dini recounts in the book Batman Animated that they missed the character's chaotic mood swings and sadistic playfulness in his performance.
