Hi there.

Just writing this to introduce myself. I'm a big fan of the DCAU, going all the way back to the "Cat and the Claw" premiere many, many Saturdays ago. I'm in Canada so I kind of fell out when they stopped showing Superman up here, and didn't really get back into the swing of things until Justice League started (caught my first episode -- War World -- in the spring of '02 during a road trip to Florida. Not the best start, but at least I figured it set things up for "For the man who has everything" if they ever got around to it).

I really got back into the DCAU once they started putting it all out on DVD and have amassed a pretty nice collection of just about everything DCAU you can imagine -- toys, comics, balloons, t-shirts, kites, dolls, board games. Even a bunch of weird collectables I found when I got down to Mexico a few years back, including a JLU frisbee, oversized foam puzzle, and some Happy Meal stuff.

I'm a dyed-in-the-wool fanboy who's trying to work professionally as a writer, so I finally decided to put my money where my mouth is and have released my own comic (or graphic novel when I try to make it sound important). It's called TDSA: The Teenaged Defending Squad of America, and has a few DCAU in-jokes that some of you keeners might pick up on. It's also not as corny as the title makes it sounds, I swear. My website is www.tdsacomic.com (he said, shilling shamelessly).

I had the supreme pleasure of hanging out with Dwayne McDuffie a few years back at Trinity Con in Detroit. I found out a few things about the then current final season of JLU, a few bits of which I've added to the wiki (particularly what concessions would have been necessary to get Icon and Hardware on Static Shock). Luckily we chatted long enough for me to get over how excited I was to be talking to THE Dwayne McDuffie and actually got out a few coherent bits (all said we spoke for an hour, the first half of which was largely said incoherent excited gushing). It was always a dream of mine to work professionally with him at some point, but I'm honored to have at least had the chance to tell him in person what I thought of his writing and the impact he had on me. He was a hell of a human being and is missed.

Anyway, guess that's all I've got to say about that. The wiki's pretty thorough, but if there's something I can add I will.

Take care and have a good day.
